I am excited to lead the fellowship team again this year. I am blessed to be working with the most kind, loving, hardworking, generous, and fun people in the church. We have many fun activities planned for this year.
Because of the financial difficulties our church is experiencing at this time, we are trying to cut costs wherever we can. Fried chicken will no longer be purchased for our fellowship or funeral meals. Instead, a meat or meat main dishes will be added to our signup sheets. This should not be a problem at all as we have so many great and willing cooks in our congregation.
Another costly item is paper plates. The sturdy ones that we need are quite expensive. I found some nice, large, white, pottery plates at WalMart for $1.75 each that would be a perfect addition to our kitchen. If you would like to contribute to our plate fund, please see me. I will be happy to purchase them tax exempt for you. We have ten already and are excited to watch the stack grow higher.
We pray that our fellowships together will help our church family grow closer and stronger in the Lord. Thank you everyone for your support throughout the year.
