Basic Training for Awana is this coming Saturday! July 25, 2009. It will begin at 10am and go through 2:30pm, with a half hour lunchbreak.
All individuals who signed up to be a leader are urgently suggested to attend. The training will provide all the specialized training that you will need to become acquainted with the Awana program, as well as offer tips on how classes and other meeting features should be run.
If anybody in the church is interested, but didn’t sign up, this is your chance to come and see what it is all about. For those who have little or no interest in teaching Awana, but want to have a fun time as a substitute kid for the day, you are invited as well. I hope that everyone will have a good time, learn a few things, and be motivated to invite all the children in your life from age 3 up to 8th grade to come to Awana once we start it in the Fall.
We will learn a little about the Awana material and the expectations in teaching it. The structure and organization of Awana, and how the uniforms, books and awards are achieved. There will be time for songs, games and bible stories, as well as remembering bible verses.
I know it’s short notice, but we need to act now so we can get started in the Fall. I hope to see all our volunteers this Saturday.

Awana Director.
