Do we need to remind God of His promises when we pray?
When praying, Nehemiah referred to promises made by God about the Israelites possessing the Promised Land. Obviously, God was aware of His promises and
warnings. He did not need to be reminded of them. In effect, it was Nehemiah who was connecting the dots, knowing he could approach God with this prayer.
Nehemiah was acknowledging his understanding of God’s purposes and plan through prayer.
